Bees for your Sneeze!!
The trees are budding, birds are chirping and everyone around you is sneezing! Yes my friends, the season of pollen is all around us. Eating LOCAL honey is a terrific and natural way to reduce the negative affects of environmental allergens such as pollen. The key is to start using it right away and keep it up! Try to find honey that is produced as close to your home as possible, this will give you the best results. I have great success at my local farmers market, but you can also go to localharvest.com or talk to someone at your local natural food store (they often sell goods from local suppliers). Hope this helps keep your sneezes away!
Rice, the one night stand...
Most of us are accustom to making a big pot of rice and saving it for the next day... or week. Either that or we get more take out than we need for leftovers the next day. However, putting rice in the fridge after it has been cooked (especially fried rice) is like cultivating bacteria in a petri dish! Of course you can eat re-heated rice and be fine, but re-heating greatly increases your chances of getting a nasty bacterial infection in your digestive tract... so for me I have decided rice is only good as a "one night stand!"
