Diabetes

Stabilize insulin via balance of fiber, vegetables and proteins. Maintain low-sugar diet while keeping in mind that complex carbohydrates are better than simple carbohydrates. In general you should be consuming foods with a low glycemic index, foods whose sugars are metabolized slower, and carbohydrate counting can become quite important in order to help limit the amount of carbs you take in. In addition, diabetics should also consider adhering to a cardiovascular protective diet as well because diabetes is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease.
