Why massage is good for the soul…

By: Christine Brooking
We all know a massage is a great way to de-stress and relax, however, massage therapy can also sooth aches and pains. Massage releases endorphins “the feel good “ chemicals in the brain and in turn affects every system in the body. But did you know a massage can be a boost to your soul as well?
When you open yourself up to receiving massage you are not only allowing the massage practitioner to relieve your muscles of discomfort and tightness, a part of your soul is awakening to the powerful mental and spiritual benefits touch can provide. As babies we rely on our parents for everything including touch. As we grow older touch is less and less a part of our lives. This is one reason why massage is so important it connects our minds bodies and souls and can help bring your soul in to a safe place where you feel cared for like when you were a child being held in your Mother’s arms.
Massage essentially can help you connect the dots in your life by making you aware of your breathing and where you are holding on to stress in your body and where you are blocked energetically, this helps your soul feel grounded and connected to the universe. You massage practitioner can hold a positive space for you during your massage session that will open your soul and ready you for a new day.
